Overview

Alex helps consumer finance and commercial finance clients build their businesses while minimizing legal risk.

Alex McFall advises fintechs, lenders, credit unions, payment providers, and other regulated financial services businesses on regulatory, operational, and commercial issues arising across modern financial products and technology platforms.

Her practice spans consumer and commercial finance, payments, embedded finance, vendor and servicing arrangements, financial infrastructure, and enterprise compliance management. She regularly advises clients on product development, sponsor bank and processor relationships, money transmission and servicing issues, consumer communications compliance, payment and deposit fraud, account takeover and scam risk, and operational oversight frameworks involving third-party vendors and technology providers.

Alex works extensively with financial institutions and fintechs navigating emerging technologies, including AI-enabled products, alternative data initiatives, and evolving vendor and data commercialization arrangements. A significant portion of her practice involves helping clients align legal, operational, and contractual responsibilities across complex financial services ecosystems involving banks, credit unions, processors, service providers, platforms, and infrastructure partners.

Her work frequently combines traditional financial services regulatory counseling with practical guidance on implementation, operational governance, and institutional risk management.

When she is not busy conquering the financial services world, you can find Alex and her husband, Ty, embarking on exciting adventures as they divide their time between the lively streets of Nashville and the charming landscapes of their beloved East Tennessee. But it’s not just the scenery that keeps Alex smiling—she treasures the moments spent with her tight-knit circle of lifelong friends and their children, embracing her role as the beloved “cool aunt.”

Alex has a deep passion for animal rescue, with a special fondness for felines. Previously, she dedicated her time as a foster owner, providing temporary homes for vulnerable animals. However, due to her strong connection with her foster pets, many of the fosters found their forever homes with Alex. Currently, Alex and her husband share their home with a loving family of rescues!
