Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Collaboration driven by diverse perspectives.

At Husch Blackwell, we believe the diverse dimensions of our attorneys, professionals and staff assist in leading our clients forward. As a team, we are unified by our enthusiasm for client success.

Inclusion is an important value of how we do business and an integral part of our outreach efforts, operations and strategic plans, including a supplier diversity initiative. In concert with Husch Blackwell’s written diversity policy, more than 50 diversity council and committee members set goals, which are executed by the highest levels of firm leadership, including the firm’s chairman, chief executive and executive board.

We are committed to recruiting, developing, retaining and promoting talented lawyers and staff with diverse backgrounds and experiences across 25 U.S. offices, including The Link virtual office,  in order to provide clients with the leadership, personal attention and integrity they deserve.

“Husch Blackwell’s Diversity and Inclusion event was fantastic. Testimonials Tricia "TJ" Jackson, Associate, Austin

"The DE&I culture at Husch Blackwell means acknowledging the unique and inherent challenges that diverse attorneys and employees face, and then taking intentional steps, not only to mitigate those challenges as they apply in the workplace, but also closing the gap in representation by advancing diverse individuals into the highest levels of leadership. TJ will moderate the inaugural session of our DE&I Speaker Series.

Testimonials Catarina Colón, Associate, Milwaukee

"The responsibility of ensuring that Husch Blackwell is a diverse and inclusive workplace falls on all of us, not just our colleagues of color and firm leadership. Learning about DE&I is a continuous process, consisting of both education and action. While HB Communities of Change is a great place to start, I encourage all HB attorneys and staff to continue to do your research, recognize your privilege, fight racial injustice, and become better allies for your friends and colleagues." Catarina will moderate the second session of our DE&I speaker series.

Testimonials Angela Harden, Associate, Milwaukee

"DE&I is about more than acknowledging the differences between colleagues at Husch Blackwell. It is about celebrating those differences, seeing what makes them special, and making the affirmative choice to learn about someone that may not look, love or believe like you. This is what makes our Husch Blackwell family unique." Angela will participate in our fifth DE&I Speakers Series installment.

Testimonials Skye Parr, Associate, The Link Virtual Office

“To me, HB Communities for Change symbolizes a call to action. Conversations discussing inequities must turn into initiatives that challenge the status quo. Inviting the conversation is the first step but should definitely not be the last. I call upon my colleagues to do what they can to push the conversation into action, to ensure the words of DE&I do not become false promises, but rather, foundational in our experiences.” Skye will moderate our fourth DE&I Speaker Series session
