When litigating toxic tort matters, James solves complex client problems by managing both the big picture and the small details.
James is a passionate litigator advocating for clients. His dedication begins well before the courtroom. Clients appreciate him asking questions from the start in order to create optimal strategies for each case, then creating detail-oriented paths toward the desired results.
James focuses his practice on toxic tort matters and product liability, with an emphasis on asbestos claims, but has also handled probate issues and entertainment matters. He drafts discovery and response pleadings, deposition summaries, pretrial reports as well as settlement authority requests and other reports as required by various insurance carriers. He plays a critical role in advocating on behalf of companies in depositions of experts and fact witnesses with the goal of minimizing clients’ potential liability. James manages document review projects and conducts legal research in order to evaluate defense strategies, update case management reports, and draft internal and client memoranda advising how to efficiently bring cases to an optimal resolution.
Prior to joining the firm, James clerked as a legal extern for the Honorable Judge John W. Darrah, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
