Tamara’s practice focuses on a variety of insurance-related areas, including coverage analysis and opinions, risk assessment and coverage litigation. She has negotiated and litigated contested insurance coverage issues involving hundreds of millions of dollars in the context of declaratory judgment actions and other pending lawsuits, as well as under general liability policies, construction project policies, professional liability errors and omissions policies, directors and officers policies, municipal liability policies, fidelity and crime policies, and homeowner and automobile insurance policies. Tamara is a member of the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation group.
Tamara’s practice includes advocating for and securing the rights of corporate policyholders in connection with the multitude of complex coverage issues that arise from long-tail exposure claims in both the asbestos and environmental liability fields and in the context of construction defect claims. Tamara has argued coverage matters before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
In addition to managing insurance assets in connection with asbestos and environmental liability claims, Tamara serves as outside coordinating counsel in asbestos-related product liability claims for a leading national manufacturer of packaged boilers, working with local counsel nationwide and insurers to defend the claims. She also advises a national manufacturer of valves in connection with nationwide asbestos-related product liability claims.
