Tim focuses his practice on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on healthcare and financial services. Tim has experience in all stages of litigation. He has first-chaired a state bench trial, assisted in collecting judgments through writs of garnishment and turnover proceedings, and taken and defended depositions. Tim also manages day-to-day litigation, develops litigation strategies, handles discovery of complex cases, drafts pleadings and dispositive motions, attends hearings and argues motions, and drafts settlement agreements.
Tim’s practice also includes representing clients in front of administrative agencies. He regularly defends physicians before the Texas Medical Board and nurses before the Texas Board of Nursing. Tim also represents physicians, clinics, and hospitals with appeals involving the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Tim’s administrative law practice includes reviewing documents, researching regulations and administrative agency rules to formulate defense strategies, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, and attending hearings.
Tim joined Husch Blackwell in 2016, after serving as a summer associate at the firm in 2014 and 2015. Additionally, he worked as a judicial extern to the Hon. U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeff Manske in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas. Prior to attending law school, Tim earned a master’s degree in medicinal chemistry and worked in drug development. During that time, he focused on developing new antibiotics and oncology drugs.
