Overview

Kathy helps clients navigate complex litigation from initial complaint on through trial and appeal when necessary.

Kathy has extensive experience advising and defending corporate clients through every phase of complex litigation. She handles a broad range of commercial, product liability, and labor and employment disputes for chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, biotechnology, manufacturing, technology, and transportation companies. She also serves as national counsel in large litigation matters.

Kathy represents clients in a range of employment disputes in U.S. federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and in arbitration. Kathy has experience in wage and hour class and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions as well as collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). She also litigates claims involving workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and failure to provide reasonable accommodation. In addition to her litigation practice, Kathy advises clients on California’s complex employment laws.

Outside the Office

Kathy’s other title is “swim mom.”

Kathy’s two children swim competitively, and she can often be found cheering them on at their meets. She is also an avid vegetable gardener, with a recent bumper crop that included cucumbers, English peas and tomato varieties.

Community Leadership

Kathy devotes her time, talents and legal skills to the U.S. Courts of Appeal, Ninth Circuit, Pro Bono Program, representing pro se parties in immigration matters and other complex appeals.
