Anya is a commercial litigator focused on complex construction disputes, representing developers, builders, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in high-stakes litigation, arbitration, and other matters. She practices from Bradenton, Florida as a member of our virtual office, The Link.
Her practice centers on construction defect litigation, contract disputes, and pre-litigation matters involving significant financial and operational concerns. She has handled multimillion-dollar disputes involving private and public construction projects, including matters involving liens, surety and bonding issues, and project-related claims. Anya guides clients through all stages of disputes, from early risk assessment and resolution efforts through mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Her experience includes developing case strategy, preparing pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, preparing and arguing dispositive motions, and preparing matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial, where she has second-chair experience.
In addition to litigation, Anya provides transactional support through construction and design contract review, risk assessment, licensing guidance, administrative matters, and ongoing legal advisement. Her experience with contentious matters gives her a broad perspective on the legal and business challenges facing clients throughout the construction industry.
Actively involved in Florida’s construction law community, Anya serves as co-chair of the CLE Committee for The Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) Section. In this role, she collaborates with professionals across the state to develop educational programs and remain informed on emerging case law and legal developments affecting the industry. Her involvement has also fostered meaningful relationships with attorneys throughout Florida, providing opportunities to exchange perspectives, stay connected to developments in the field, and encourage constructive professional communication that may help facilitate more efficient resolution of disputes.
Before entering law, Anya spent more than a decade working in child welfare, advocating for children and families while navigating challenging circumstances involving competing interests. That experience strengthened her ability to evaluate nuanced issues, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and navigate difficult situations with patience, empathy and perspective.
She brings that same mindset to her legal practice, balancing a practical, collaborative approach with tenacious and persuasive advocacy for clients’ interests.
