Brendan McCommas Joins Husch Blackwell's Intellectual Property Team

Husch Blackwell is pleased to welcome Brendan McCommas as senior counsel for the firm’s Intellectual Property practice and Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation industry group.

Based in the firm’s Washington, DC office, McCommas focuses his practice on complex intellectual property disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing and trade secrets. He previously served as the Chief of Staff to the Undersecretary and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He guides clients, from startups to large multinational corporations, through the complexities of intellectual property issues that arise during their business activities.

“Brendan is an excellent lawyer with deep experience in the intellectual property space,” said Rudy Telscher, partner and member of the Husch Blackwell’s Executive Board. “Our group continues to grow wherever we see opportunities to better serve existing clients and make new client relationships.”

McCommas obtained his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, his M.A. in English from Georgetown University, and his B.S. in electrical engineering from Grove City College.
