Tricie is a senior paralegal committed to forwarding client goals.

Tricie concentrates in the areas of employee benefits and commercial litigation. Her experience includes assisting legal teams at the state, federal and appellate court levels from initial investigation through trial. Matters she facilitates include:

  • Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)
  • Titles IV, VI and IX of the Higher Education Act
  • Medical malpractice
  • Product liability
  • Toxic tort
  • Patent and trademark infringement
  • Misappropriation of trade secrets
  • Trustee/fiduciary litigation

Working with the asbestos litigation team, Tricie has extensive experience in the management of large document cases, tracking discovery requests and preparing for depositions. For benefits matters, she reviews and drafts health and welfare benefit plans. Tricie also assists with ERISA, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and other government filings, and supports clients regarding benefit and employment compensation matters.

  • Attended and assisted with month-long trial in Louisiana resulting in significant victory for our chemical manufacturer client, blamed for explosion at chemical plant resulting in $50 million in damages.
  • Attended and assisted with lengthy trial involving multiple trusts and numerous claims of breach of fiduciary duty, which concluded in plaintiffs dismissing their case.
  • Assisted with case in federal court on behalf of precision agriculture technology firm against allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets where we prevailed on summary judgment.
  • Assisted and attended numerous trials of product liability cases resulting in defense verdicts.
  • Assisted legal team that navigated expedited negotiations, hearings and discovery for state insurance department client in disputed rehabilitation and subsequent liquidation proceedings. Team counsel avoided trial, resulting in significant client cost- and time savings, thus preserving and maximizing the assets of the estate.

Outside the Office

Tricie enjoys Broadway musicals, theatre, live concerts, touring art galleries and museums, and local sports events. She’s also a broad reader of all types of books. Recently, she’s been hiking, exploring and wine tasting in Oregon, visiting her youngest son and his wife.
