Tara focuses her practice on domestic and international intellectual property matters, focusing on trademarks, copyrights, domain names and unfair competition. She has experience working closely on the filing and prosecution of trademark applications and maintenance filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She also conducts domestic and international availability searches for intellectual property on behalf of clients in a variety of industries.
Before joining the firm, Tara was a corporate and trademark associate attorney at another St. Louis law firm, where she worked with small businesses and entrepreneurships regarding corporate formation and governance, as well as crafting trademark strategies to help owners protect their valuable brands. She has counseled clients at every stage of the trademark process and educates clients on the proper use of their trademarks to ensure maximum protection under applicable federal and state trademark laws. Tara also volunteers with Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts (VLAA), providing pro bono entity formation and trademark counseling services to clients in need.
