Jessica focuses her practice on labor and employment matters, partnering with clients to develop solutions to workforce challenges.
Jessica’s first aim is to help clients prevent litigation by advising on day-to-day employment policies. She also counsels employers regarding reductions of force and compliance with the WARN Act, and assists with the drafting and revising of employee handbooks, restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements.
While Jessica seeks to help clients avoid allegations of wrongdoing, she is a fierce advocate when lawsuits do occur. She aims to resolve disputes through mediation and arbitration when feasible but also has experience defending clients in federal and state court. Jessica has handled both individual and class action lawsuits involving allegations of:
- Race, age, gender and disability discrimination
- Sexual harassment
- Violations of Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA and related state laws
- Wage and hour violations
- Wrongful termination and unpaid wages
Jessica represents a broad spectrum of clients including major insurers, international banks, pharmaceutical companies, shareholders, executives, small businesses, global retailers, automobile dealerships and government agencies. She’s known for her dedication to understanding not only a client’s case, but the client’s entire business so that she can tailor her counsel to their specific needs.
