Jen defends clients in asbestos litigation.
Jen has practiced in the asbestos defense field for more than 15 years, with a focus on Madison County, Illinois. She has also overseen cases in St. Clair County, Cook County, and St. Louis, Missouri, frequently negotiating discovery agreements, dismissals, settlements, and tolling agreements. While Jen primarily represents manufacturers in product defense cases, she also has experience with premises liability litigation and the representation of independent contractors. She knows that different clients have different aims and different strategies, and her goal is always to achieve customized resolutions that fit individual client needs.
A resident of Edwardsville, Illinois—the Madison County seat—since seventh grade, Jen and her family are extensively involved in the local community. Her husband is a member of the legal profession as well, and their social lives include regular contact with other attorneys in the Madison County toxic tort world. Jen has worked with many of the area’s plaintiff and defense attorneys for years and has discovered that the supermarket or soccer field can be the perfect place to make progress in a tough case. In jurisdictions that are notoriously difficult for defendants, these relationships are key: Jen has built decades worth of trust among the toxic tort legal community, and that trust means client matters can often be resolved quicker and more favorably.
Unsurprisingly, Jen is a people person, and she excels at timely, informative communication with clients. She’s known not only for keeping clients abreast of their own cases, but also looking out for their interests across the board. Every client is always top of mind for Jen, and she works to keep them informed of recent developments in asbestos litigation, as well as cases they may soon find on their doorstep.
