Haley focuses on both commercial litigation and labor and employment law.
Growing up with an attorney father, Haley developed a keen interest in law from an early age. She was particularly drawn to labor and employment due to its people-focused nature and evolving landscape, while her interest in commercial litigation stems from the dynamic and intellectually engaging work it offers.
During law school, Haley excelled in labor and employment courses, especially employment discrimination. She also participated in the Wagner Labor & Employment Moot Court competition and founded Creighton University’s Labor and Employment Law Society. Her externship with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) enhanced her legal research and writing skills, and her time as a judicial extern with the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska solidified her interest in litigation through extensive courtroom observations.
As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Haley primarily worked on labor and employment projects, including answering EEOC requests—letting her see EEOC matters from both sides. She also assisted with client counseling, drafted memos on non-competes and age discrimination, and created presentations on the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and independent contractors. These experiences honed her ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Haley is known for her attention to detail and strong communication skills, qualities that stem from her pre-law background as a middle school teacher. She is committed to advocating for clients and enjoys the intellectual challenges her practice areas present.
