Berel helps companies protect their brands and intellectual property (IP).
With a focus on trademark and copyright matters, Berel helps clients protect, enforce, and maximize their most invaluable assets. He has substantial experience in IP litigation and maintains a robust brand protection and online enforcement practice. By combining strategic analysis with practical business judgment, Berel develops creative, effective solutions to complex and evolving legal challenges.
Most recently, Berel practiced at an IP boutique, where he represented some of the world’s most recognized brands in trademark and anti-counterfeiting matters and assisted clients in removing infringing content from the Internet. While in law school, Berel served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Patrick J. Heneghan of the Circuit Court of Cook County. That experience provided early insight into effective advocacy and judicial decision-making, perspectives that continue to inform his practice today.
Berel prioritizes collaborative client relationships and provides candid advice in clear, actionable terms, helping clients evaluate the legal and business implications of each issue. He tailors his approach to the significance of the matter in relation to clients’ broader objectives, helping them determine whether an aggressive or more measured strategy is the appropriate course.
