Husch Blackwell associate Ariel Anthony was elected Secretary of the Chattanooga Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and associate Patrick Shockey was one of the members of the Chapter’s Publications Committee honored with the President’s Award during the Chapter’s Annual Meeting Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Anthony is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Private Wealth practices. She works with clients at all states of litigation, assisting them with matters that include business disputes, product liability, breach of warranty, trade secrets, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. Her term as secretary begins January 2021.

“The Chattanooga Chapter of the FBA is a prestigious organization," Anthony said. "Being elected Secretary, which will lead to a 2023 Presidency, has special significance with my having been in Chattanooga only a little over 5 years.”

Shockey is a member of the firm’s Financial Services & Capital Markets business group and its Product Liability and Toxic Tort practice groups. He represents a wide range of clients across industries, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and transportation.

In presenting the President’s Award, Chattanooga Chapter President Carrie Stefaniak thanked the Publications Committee for its efforts to gather content, publish newsletters, and pursue national awards during 2020.

"Serving on the Publications Committee for the Chattanooga Chapter of the FBA has taken on added importance this year," Shockey said. "The newsletters played an important role in keeping our members updated on federal bar developments during these unprecedented times. As a member of the committee, it has been an honor to serve our members and to be recognized for our hard work this past year."
