Overview

Sydney handles corporate transactions, helping clients navigate complex legal matters with a focus on practical solutions.

Sydney decided to pursue law after discovering an early interest in the profession during a high school course on public safety and legal careers. That initial curiosity quickly turned into a clear goal, leading her to law school without hesitation.

Drawn to transactional law, Sydney enjoys working on matters where the outcome benefits everyone involved. She appreciates the collaborative nature of corporate deals, especially M&A transactions, where building value for both sides is the focus rather than having winners and losers.

During law school, Sydney’s most rewarding experience was competing in—and winning—the UCLA Transactional Law Competition twice. This hands-on work gave her valuable experience in drafting, revising, and negotiating complex agreements. She also served as a Lawyering Skills teaching assistant and participated in the Mediation & Negotiation Clinic, both of which strengthened her ability to communicate clearly and manage detailed projects.

As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Sydney worked on a variety of corporate projects, including the conversion of a corporation across state lines, legal research, and drafting resources for indemnification language. These experiences reinforced her commitment to transactional work and her appreciation for detail in legal documents.

Sydney is known as a good listener, a clear communicator, and someone who is dedicated to getting the job done right. She values building strong relationships and making sure clients always know where things stand.

Sydney enjoys time with friends and family, whether that means an afternoon by the pool, cruising the roads of Stilwell in a side-by-side, or trying a new restaurant. She also loves going for walks with her dogs, Aspen and Oakley.

Sydney prioritizes staying active and is the sort of person who actually looks forward to going to the gym: weightlifting turns out to be a great outlet for stress. An alumna of KU twice over, she’s also an avid KU fan who tries to catch as many Jayhawks football and basketball games as she can. After her brother recently took a job with K-State’s football team, she’s reluctantly become a K-State supporter as well.
