With a pre-law professional background in banking, Shianne focuses her practice on banking and finance law.

Shianne first began her career in risk management for an Iowa bank and quickly discovered a passion for the financial industry. With a lifelong interest in the law as well, she was particularly fascinated by the complex regulations governing the banking world, and she eventually enrolled in law school, aiming to combine her banking experience with legal knowledge.

Shianne’s background means that she’s gone through regulatory exams, risk assessments, and internal controls firsthand, and she’s deeply familiar with the daily world of banking and finance clients. She knows the importance of being detail-oriented and understanding the overarching strategy behind a project, and she’s also aware of the variety of internal stakeholders involved in every decision. Shianne is dedicated to ensuring that clients meet regulatory requirements while their systems continue to function seamlessly.

Shianne is known for her thoughtfulness, teamwork, and exemplary listening skills. Clients not only find a legal ally but a collaborative partner eager to help them navigate and solve complex challenges.

Outside the Office

Shianne absolutely loves to travel, anywhere in the world. She especially enjoys visiting new places and names favorite past destinations as Taiwan, France, and Morocco. Shianne and her boyfriend celebrated her law school graduation with a multi-week trip around Italy.

Whether she’s at home or on the road, Shianne is a foodie who loves trying out new restaurants and new cuisines. She’s also a wine enthusiast whose family owns a winery and vineyard: Shianne has studied enology (the scientific process behind winemaking) at Missouri State University and enjoys helping her parents with the family business when she can.
