As a young student, Paige always had an interest in law; however, she also loved math and engineering. She soon discovered that intellectual property law let her combine both her passions, working with engineers to obtain patents for new inventions and technologies.
Paige prepares and prosecutes patent applications, conducts patentability and freedom to operate searches, counsels clients on the strategic use of intellectual property assets, and drafts and negotiates the complex agreements that underpin software development and licensing. She also provides counsel on general corporate matters and mergers and acquisitions, especially those with intellectual property implications. While Paige works with clients in a variety of industries, she holds a degree in computer science and has a particular focus on technology, software, new IT processes and machine learning.
Paige has extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex technology transactions, including software licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, data processing agreements, and vendor arrangements that protect my clients’ interests while facilitating business objectives. As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms industries, she helps clients navigate the evolving legal landscape. Paige assists in addressing AI-specific risks in their contracts, including liability allocation for AI-generated outputs, intellectual property ownership of training data and models, and compliance with emerging AI regulations. She also advises clients on best practices for the use of AI and legal risks associated with the same. Paige’s practice combines deep technical understanding with practical legal solutions to help clients confidently deploy AI technologies while managing the unique challenges these cutting-edge systems present.
