Overview

Oluoma is a commercial litigation attorney who represents shippers, carries, brokers, and intermediaries in litigation. Many of these cases involve the Carmack Amendment, the Federal Aviation Administration Authorization Act (FAAAA), and the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act (COGSA), as well as the liability limitations these laws establish.

She brings more than a decade of diverse litigation experience to her practice, including automobile products liability, commercial disputes, insurance coverage and defense, healthcare fraud litigation, and other complex matters. Her experience across industries and client types gives her a versatile perspective and well-rounded approach to advocacy. She handles matters from pre-litigation through discovery and motion practice and, when needed, through trial or settlement.

Oluoma begins each matter by understanding the client’s goals, expectations, and preferred approach. She then assesses the facts, key players, and strengths and challenges of the case to develop a strategy for moving the matter forward. Her approach is tailored to each client and focused on achieving the desired outcome.

Drawn to litigation because it combines advocacy with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, Oluoma enjoys the challenge of navigating ever-changing legal issues, developing effective arguments, and finding new ways to advance clients’ interests.

Clients value Oluoma’s reliability, responsiveness, and commitment to their needs. She is a tireless advocate who listens closely, works diligently to achieve their objectives, and delivers a thoughtful, timely work product. Clients can trust her to be fully invested in their matters and approach each case with focus, care, and determination, giving them confidence that their interests are in capable hands.

Outside the Office

Oluoma loves to travel (especially by cruise) and spend time with her husband of nearly 20 years and their two young daughters. A first-generation American with Nigerian roots, she grew up in a big family with seven siblings. She’s also an avid sports fan who follows just about everything, with a particular love for tennis and an obsession with the NBA and NFL. She used to be an MLB fan, too, but the A’s departure from Oakland stung. She’s also a former team manager of the Stanford women’s basketball team.
