Ola Lisowski

Associate
Overview

Ola advocates for clients in business disputes and various commercial litigation matters.

A daughter of immigrants, Ola was inspired to pursue a legal career by stories of her family’s experiences in moving to the United States. Prior to enrolling in law school, Ola worked in media and public policy, getting comfortable asking tough questions of lawmakers and defending her own research—experience that built a strong foundation for her future career. Today, she represents clients in a wide range of business disputes.

As a member of Husch Blackwell’s food systems team, Ola works with clients across a variety of industries. She enjoys the challenge of navigating highly regulated environments and regularly assists with pleadings, motions, witness preparation, depositions, and other aspects throughout the life cycle of litigation, all the way up to trial. Ola has worked with companies of all sizes, from manufacturers to the hospitality industry, and in areas such as securities defense and fiduciary law.

Research is a key part of Ola’s approach, and her time in the media taught her how to dig deep into the details of each matter. Her press background also transformed her into a top-notch communicator and exemplary listener with a gift for meeting people where they are.

Ola firmly believes that the legal profession is first and foremost a service industry, and she approaches each matter with a strong service mindset. By combining careful research, clear communication, and an adaptable approach, Ola helps clients navigate complex legal challenges with confidence.

An avid baker who developed her bread baking skills during the pandemic, Ola has been learning to adapt recipes and techniques to high altitude in Colorado. She especially loves making pastries. She’s also training for her second triathlon: Ola notes that she doesn’t particularly enjoy the running part, but she does love swimming and biking.

Ola is also a music fan who attends as many concerts as she can. A huge animal lover, she can often be found in the company of her much-adored dog.
