Meghann is a problem solver who defends clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
Meghann draws on broad experience with a wide variety of litigation, from construction defect to employment suits to medical malpractice, in industries as diverse as transportation, construction and healthcare. With her excellent public speaking, communication and negotiation skills, the commercial litigation practice area is an ideal fit for her.
At Husch Blackwell, Meghann works with clients in multiple industries; however, she has a special focus on clients in financial services and capital markets, including banks, mortgage lenders and insurance companies. Prior to pursuing a legal career, Meghann studied accountancy: while her desire to utilize her writing skills soon sent her to law school, her previous degree provided a solid foundation for understanding clients’ numbers-driven world.
As a litigator, Meghann has a reputation for picking apart every detail of a case. She plans out a full defense and trial strategy from the very beginning, aiming to undercut as many plaintiff claims as possible. Meghann is known for her oral argument skills in the courtroom and is also a gifted negotiator in settlements: with a dedication to upfront communication with clients, she aims to ensure that clients understand any weaknesses in their cases, settling early if necessary.
Meghann’s goal is always to offer clients problem-solving options that will fit their goals and business needs.
