Overview

Marrying parallel interests, Mason assists clients with real estate transactions and renewable energy deals.

Mason chose the legal field because he wanted to pursue a career where he could have a meaningful impact. As a law student, he soon discovered an affinity for transactional work because of its collaborative, puzzle-solving nature where both sides partner for a great outcome. He was equally attracted to real estate law for its tangible product.

Mason assists clients at each step along the life cycle of a deal, helping them navigate complex transactions. He works with a variety of real estate transactions, splitting his focus between a traditional real estate practice and renewable energy deals, such as wind and solar development projects. Mason has a personal passion for renewables work and loves its future-minded nature. Growing up in the desert of Southern New Mexico along a river that only flows seasonally—and less and less each year—Mason has seen firsthand how important prioritizing clean energy and a sustainable future is. Spending his adolescent years working with his hands enthralled Mason with seeing tangible results from his work, and the satisfaction he received on landscaping and working construction sites is now reflected in his legal career through his real estate work.

In both commercial real estate transactions and renewable energy development deals, Mason’s passions and upbringing guide his work, and he values the opportunity to assist clients with projects that will shape the future. Known for thinking outside the box, Mason strives to offer clients a fresh perspective on their transactions by presenting new, creative ways to achieve their goals.

Outside the Office

Mason is both an avid reader and writer of poetry who has previously published a poetry volume. He also loves to spend as much time as possible outdoors—whether that’s by taking a multi-day backpacking trip, snowboarding in the winter or climbing one of Colorado’s 14ers (mountains above 14,000 feet). When not exploring in the mountains, you can find Mason seeking adventures abroad. He has visited five of the seven continents and plans to knock Australia and Antarctica off his list as soon as he can.

Community Leadership

Mason is a dog lover who builds his volunteer opportunities around getting to interact with dogs. He has previously volunteered with San Francisco’s Muttville Dog Rescue, which focuses on senior dogs, as well as Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary Thrift Store in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
