Overview

LeAnn is a senior paralegal who concentrates on asbestos litigation and Medicare reporting.

LeAnn also supervises and trains the asbestos team paralegal assistants and has been a presenter for Continuing Legal Education in-house seminars for lawyers and other legal support staff.

LeAnn has more than 30 years of experience as a legal assistant, and she has broad experience in the areas of products liability, domestic relations and large class action suits in state and district courts. Her strong fact investigation and development skills include strategy planning, data collection, analysis and reporting. She also has deep experience with pleading and discovery drafting and an extensive background in the collection, analysis and summarization of medical documentation.

Her representative work includes:

  • One of several skilled legal assistants selected from numerous law firms to review and categorize documents for the Exxon oil spill litigation.
  • Liaison counsel on the Chrysler odometer rollback multidistrict litigation, which included coordinating weekly mailings of pleadings and discovery requests filed to all counsel of records, extensive oral and written communication with plaintiffs, and responsibility for coordinating claim forms.
  • Repeatedly successful in refuting medical conditions that were alleged to be attributable to product defects.
  • Key player in the design and development of an asbestos database and drafter of asbestos protocols.
