The competitive drive that made him a college football player has always propelled Lazaro to the next challenge.

For Lazaro, life has always been about overcoming the challenge. In high school, Lazaro had a lot of pressure on his shoulders to not only graduate but be the first in his family to ever go to college. Though there were a lot of expectations put on him, Lazaro not only met but exceeded those expectations.

Being a first-generation college student was a challenge itself, but that wasn’t all. Taking advantage of his athletic prowess, Lazaro became the first member of his family not only to attend college, but he did so as a student-athlete. (Not bad for what many considered an undersized college football player!) Always putting in the extra work and building a strong base through determination and effort, Lazaro also helped a conference championship team during the postseason as a true freshman.

After conquering those challenges, Lazaro tapped into the same well of grit and self-discipline for law school where he not only made the trial team...he also became its captain.

He now sees that same opportunity to overcome obstacles as a member of the Toxic Tort and Product Liability groups. He knows that an atmosphere where people are willing to pull together and share the work toward common goals is what an effective client team is all about.

Outside the Office

A self-described sports junkie, Lazaro loves football, especially the Chicago Bears. He also plays basketball and works out every morning. Though he’s a Chicagoland native and Illinois sports run through his veins, Lazaro is happy to have had the city of St. Louis and its residents welcome him with open arms and is excited to share some of his Illinois hospitality with his fellow Midwest colleagues.
