Jen studies the fine details of clients’ backgrounds and needs to ensure thoughtful support is developed and executed.
With nearly 20 years’ experience supporting attorneys in the litigation arena, Jen works with national and international religious institutions as well as non-profits on high-profile, complex matters. She also spent several years supporting a highly litigious client in the regulatory sphere at the state and federal levels.
Jen enjoys learning new software and trouble-shooting difficult logistics for her team, sometimes describing her role as akin to a “fixer.” She is frequently tasked with planning and overseeing large-scale projects that require staffing multiple attorneys and paralegals. At Husch Blackwell, Jen develops and manages discovery-related projects, including decades-old client historical documents that frequently require assessment and digitization. She handles the behind-the-scenes planning, administration, and statistical tracking of bespoke settlement programs for the team’s religious institutions clients. She often relies on the writing and editing skills built in her prior career as a newspaper journalist. She thrives when working on tight deadlines.
Planning for mediations and trials is where Jen shines, as she enjoys the macro- and micro-level logistics planning that comes with preparing complex cases for trial. Her trial experience includes planning for an out-of-state complex financial fraud matter and supporting that team at the multiweek trial.
