Calm under stress, Javon advocates and negotiates for clients in and out of the courtroom.

As part of the firm’s Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution team, Javon values being part of a dispute resolution environment working coast to coast, scaling agile teams customized to defend client issues of any size or complexity. Javon handles all stages of the commercial litigation process, developing strategy and working closely with each client to align litigation goals with unique business goals.

Javon enjoys getting to know clients, their companies and their industries. He understands how stressful litigation can be, with potential outcomes that can have critical consequences for a business. Before joining the firm, Javon interned with the Hon. Craig Smith, 192nd Civil District Court.

Outside the Office

Javon and his wife, Hannah, a dance teacher, enjoy Dallas’ musical theatre offerings. The couple also travel: recent trips have included Italy, Belgium and Poland. Next on the list: returning to Prague, a favorite spot of Javon’s, as well as Germany, where Hannah has family ties. At home, Javon follows sports of all kinds – basketball, football and soccer – and reads across genres, with a love of graphic novels. Javon and Hannah’s dog, Winston, is a constant companion.

Community Leadership

Javon played a key role on the Husch Blackwell team that successfully defended a family who was facing a wrongful eviction and withholding of their security deposit.
