A chance meeting with a presidential candidate inspired Janelle to pursue a legal career and influences her day-to-day exceptional client service.
Janelle was working as an assistant vice president in banking when she was introduced to then-presidential candidate Bill Clinton. She noticed the Secret Service moving the crowd along, so Janelle politely began to step aside. “Don’t worry about them,” waved off the soon-to-be 42nd U.S. President, “Talk as long as you like.” The meeting inspired Janelle to study law and earn her J.D., then begin a new career as a litigation paralegal, which she’s enjoyed for more than 20 years, with a focus on product liability and toxic tort matters.
Janelle is appreciated for her energetic client-first approach, her responsiveness and her willingness to be decisive when coordinating complex projects on behalf of clients. In addition to assisting attorney teams with all aspects of asbestos litigation, from initial complaint through dismissal, settlement or trial, Janelle has also worked with trial teams handling employment-related medical insurance matters and contract disputes. Janelle also regularly works with medical subject-matter experts and participated in some of the first virtual trials, specifically to observe and report juror misconduct.
