Jameson is Senior Counsel at Husch Blackwell, advising tax-exempt organizations like nonprofit hospitals, schools, religious groups, and foundations on corporate, tax, and regulatory issues. His practice focuses on helping exempt organizations navigate IRS compliance, corporate governance, operational policies, charitable trust rules, and state and local tax issues, including property tax exemptions and sales tax exemptions.
With a strong background in accounting, tax, and corporate law, Jameson brings a practical, numbers driven perspective to the complex financial and regulatory challenges facing exempt organizations. He advises clients on entity formation, 501(c) tax-exempt status, compliance issues, UBIT, joint ventures, compensation policies, grant procedures, and charitable registration. He also assists with IRS Form 990, exemption applications, group rulings, and IRS or state investigations.
Jameson works closely with nonprofit hospital systems and healthcare organizations on regulatory and transactional matters, including physician alignment strategies, community benefit requirements, medical staff governance, and compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations.
