Overview

From the initial demand through discovery and trial, David represents clients in state and federal courts across the United States.

He handles complex commercial litigation, including insurance defense, contract disputes, products liability, medical malpractice defense, foreclosure actions, replevins, liquidation of corporations, contract disputes and bankruptcy workouts. He has successfully defended significant damage tort claims, as well as an automobile tort claim to jury verdict.

David oversees and handles premises liability cases for Fortune 500 companies, major retailers and restaurants. He also provides defense of construction defect claims for roofing, concrete and HVAC contractors and service providers.

David is dedicated to the advancement of fellow attorneys. He has served as a moderator for the American Bar Association Minority Council Program in programs titled “Effective Practices for Enhancing the Collaborative Relationship Connecting In-House and Outside Counsel” and “Your Career’s Life Cycle and How to Get the Most From It.” He has also served on the planning committee for the Texas Minority Counsel Program’s Dallas Save-the-Date Reception. He gained experience during law school as a judicial intern for Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey A. Wagner.

Experience
  • Member of multiple trial teams defending Fortune 250 tobacco corporation in trials against claims asserted by individual plaintiffs and/or their estates, related to the State of Florida Engle Progeny cases. Successful outcomes saved the client in excess of $60 million.
  • Defended major automobile insurance carrier and its insured in a personal injury suit in a jury trial. A "no damages" verdict for the client was returned by the jury.
  • Handled more than 150 mediations.
  • Successfully obtained payment through mediation from municipality for construction company in multimillion-dollar waste water treatment facility project.
  • Successfully represented a Fortune 50 wireless carrier in a traumatic brain injury case resolved through mediation.
  • Serves as local counsel for a Fortune 50 auto manufacturer, defending against Wisconsin Consumer Act claims.
  • Regularly represents a variety of Fortune 500 restaurant and retail companies in premises liability and other complex litigation matters.
