Audrey works closely with clients and attorneys to facilitate complex food and agribusiness litigation.

Audrey assists clients and legal teams at all phases of litigation at the state, federal and appellate court levels. She concentrates on facilitating high-profile food and agribusiness issues, but also has experience in real estate, intellectual property and private wealth matters. Collaborating closely with clients and attorneys, Audrey manages all aspects of complex litigation, including pre-trial organization, preparing exhibits, producing and reviewing documents, creating case chronologies, drafting petitions and post-trial work.

Clients appreciate Audrey’s more than 20 years of experience in the legal field as well as her reliability, readiness and attention to detail. She enjoys acting as a point person on a case, streamlining an efficient and cost-effective flow of information. What she finds most satisfying about legal work is moving client solutions forward.

Experience
  • Assisted legal team in securing company valuation of $893 million – $300 million more than defendants' competing valuation – for founder's Streck Inc. shares in shareholder oppression case, one of Nebraska's largest valuation disputes.
  • Served on legal team that obtained summary judgment for Farmobile clients facing trade secret disclosure claims. Decision was affirmed in the Eighth Circuit. Appellate court's decision noted unprotected information shared with third party by plaintiff, and that our clients were not hired as inventors or under relevant contractual obligation
  • Served on legal team that obtained motion to dismiss in U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois on behalf of one of nation's largest ethanol producers in the country, dismissing our client from trade secrets misappropriation lawsuit after presenting unrebutted evidence proving a lack of personal jurisdiction. Court found arguments persuasive, indicating "Plaintiff has done little other than show that some subsidiaries do some business in the state, which courts have repeatedly affirmed is not enough." Dismissal allowed our client to avoid significant additional time, effort and expense associated with a lengthy discovery process.

Farmobile LLC

Farmers Edge alleged that Farmobile’s co-founders—former employees of a company acquired by Farmers Edge in 2014—had misappropriated purportedly proprietary information in the development of farm data-collection and standardization technologies. Farmobile turned to Husch Blackwell to defend it in potentially enterprise-threatening litigation.

Outside the Office

Audrey and her family have traveled the globe.

When the Air Force stationed Audrey’s husband in England for three years, the couple made the most of it. With their school-aged children they visited the Egyptian pyramids, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, among other destinations. Now that they’re stateside, Audrey and her husband visit their oldest child at the University of Notre Dame and recently had fun in Las Vegas.

Community Leadership

Audrey has volunteered her skills, time and talents to pro bono legal cases. She has also volunteered with her church, Offutt Air Force Base Officers’ Spouses Club, Omaha Against Hunger and her children’s schools.
