Ashlyn defends companies facing toxic tort and products liability claims.
Her experience includes claims involving manufacturers, premises owners, and contractors, as well as a wide range of products, including boilers, automotive components, gaskets, pumps, and valves. Her work has spanned all stages of asbestos litigation, from investigating claims and taking depositions to evaluating cases, advising clients, and developing case-specific strategies. She has prepared deposition summaries and litigation evaluations, managed motion practice, and worked closely with clients and opposing counsel on case resolution, including settlement negotiations involving individual claims and larger groups of cases.
Prior to joining Husch Blackwell in 2026, Ashlyn spent seven years practicing various types of civil litigation defense, most recently at a national litigation firm with a focus on toxic tort defense. Her litigation background extends beyond asbestos matters to include personal injury, catastrophic injury, insurance investigations, medical malpractice, and prisoner rights matters. She also assisted with two successful wrongful conviction cases, reflecting a longstanding interest in criminal justice, pro bono legal representation, and a commitment to advocating for those in need.
Known for her thoughtfulness and thoroughness, Ashlyn understands that behind every asbestos claim is a person facing a serious illness. She treats plaintiffs with dignity and respect throughout the litigation process while remaining focused on advancing clients’ interests. Colleagues value her willingness to ask the extra question, dig deeper, and share efficient processes that help move cases forward.
Tenacity, grit, and determination are central to Ashlyn’s practice. She believes being a good lawyer is not about fitting a particular mold—it is about showing up, doing the work, and delivering for clients and her team.
