Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that associates Brittany Lomax and Nida Ghaffar have been selected by AdvanceLaw to participate in a new program that pairs general counsel and other senior lawyers with diverse associates in private practice.
AdvanceLaw, a collective of over 250 corporate legal departments that helps member companies find and retain outside counsel by vetting law firms and sharing feedback, launched the program earlier this year.
Based in Chicago, Ghaffar focuses on real estate law and represents clients in a variety of real estate-related transactions, including leasing agreements, purchase and sale contracts, development agreements, tax increment financing and construction loans. She also handles easements, special-use permitting and other issues related to land use and zoning. She earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School and holds a B.A. from DePaul University.
Lomax is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office and represents clients across a wide range of litigation matters, including product liability, premises liability, product safety, toxic tort and complex commercial litigation. Her experience spans numerous product classes and industries, including automotive and chemical manufacturers. She has represented clients in all aspects of litigation, including trial in federal court, and all aspects of product safety, product testing, product warning analysis, product warnings certifications, warranties and instructions and reporting requirements to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Lomax earned her J.D. from the Saint Louis University School of Law and holds a B.A. from Pepperdine University.
