News Releases

Husch Blackwell partner Karen Luong was named a finalist by Corporate Counsel in two categories for its Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards 2026: Innovative Leadership – External Innovation (Client-Facing/Market Impact) and Law Firm Thought Leadership.

Based in Los Angeles, Luong guides clients through high-stakes litigation, focusing on product liability and mass tort matters. She is also a co-founder and co-leader of the firm’s Psychedelic and Emerging Therapies practice group, which guides researchers, manufacturers, investors, clinicians and other participants around and through the myriad obstacles that result from the patchwork of state and federal laws regulating Schedule I controlled substances.

The Innovative Leadership – External Innovation (Client-Facing/Market Impact) category recognizes women who drive innovation through client-centered strategies and industry-forward thinking. These leaders are known for creating impactful solutions that challenge norms and deliver tangible value to clients and external partners.

The Thought Leadership category recognizes women who exemplify the power of leadership to create meaningful change. These individuals are not only exceptional leaders within their organizations but also serve as influential voices in their industries and communities.

The Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards 2025 honors top women lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession. Luong will be recognized at an awards dinner on April 14 in Chicago.
