News Releases

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce the arrival of healthcare partners Robert Threlkeld and Elliott Coward. They are joined by associate Baylee Culverhouse. Based in Atlanta, the attorneys join the firm’s virtual office, The Link, underscoring Husch Blackwell’s continued strategic investment in the Southeast. They arrive from Morris, Manning & Martin.

“Bob and Elliott bring exceptional experience, deep client relationships, and the collaborative mindset that defines Husch Blackwell,” said Curt Chase, partner and leader of the firm’s Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Education industry group. “Their arrival enhances our ability to meet growing client demand across the Southeast.”

Threlkeld’s practice focuses on healthcare litigation and transactional matters, representing prominent national and regional healthcare companies, hospitals, and research institutions. Clients routinely seek his counsel to navigate the highly complex and evolving regulatory landscape and help advance their strategic goals while maintaining compliance.

“Husch Blackwell is committed to investing in building the future of healthcare and education law,” Threlkeld said. “The firm’s collaborative culture, national reach, and depth in the healthcare space open up new avenues for serving our clients and growing our work.”

Coward represents large healthcare organizations and systems, with a focus on proactive compliance and administrative litigation. Her broad experience includes advising clients on regulatory and compliance issues; conducting internal and external audits; ensuring compliance with the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute; responding to fraud and abuse investigations; managing EMTALA compliance and investigations; supporting healthcare transactions; and handling regulatory litigation.

The arrival of this team follows a period of significant growth for the firm’s healthcare practice and Southeast presence. In the second quarter this year, the firm welcomed a five-person life sciences team, along with Lorna McGeorge and Nick Agnello in Florida, and Erin Hughes in Nashville.
