Overview

Stephanie represents mortgage lenders, banks, financial institutions, and other consumer lenders in litigation in the Northeast.

A consumer financial services attorney, Stephanie represents mortgage servicers and other lenders in litigation matters. Her practice has a particular emphasis on claims filed by borrowers in default—cases where there are dual goals of defending against the claim and achieving payment on the loan. Stephanie also handles real estate title clearing litigation and contested post-foreclosure evictions. With extensive litigation experience serving as local counsel in Massachusetts and Connecticut, she is leading the expansion of the firm’s banking and consumer financial services practices in the region.

After beginning her legal career as a civil litigator, Stephanie shifted her focus to mortgage litigation in the early 2010s in the aftermath of the financial crisis, a period marked by significant and frequent legal change. She has dedicated her practice to consumer financial services litigation since 2012—a length of experience that allows her to quickly identify the core issues in a matter and proceed to a resolution efficiently.

Stephanie’s history in the practice area means she has developed longstanding relationships with many judges and opposing counsel, helping her resolve matters more efficiently to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Known for never treating any lawsuit as routine, Stephanie understands that a case is often won by the details that set it apart, and she reviews each matter extensively. Clients value her consistent communication, creative strategies, and efficient resolutions.
