Having worked on breach of contract disputes, partnership disputes, toxic tort cases, construction defect claims, real estate litigation, employment law, and class action defense, Sean has developed a versatile skill set that allows him to navigate intricate legal challenges quickly. Sean is especially passionate about class action defense and other multifaceted cases, appreciating the intellectual rigor and extensive research they require.

Experience
  • Extensive experience in law and motion practice, including researching, drafting, and orally arguing appeals and case-dispositive motions.
  • Prepared for and took depositions of over 20 percipient witnesses in a complex multiparty toxic tort case.
  • Consistently interfaced with and developed rapport with both individual and corporate clients, becoming the go-to point of contact for clients on multiple files.
  • Spearheaded written discovery efforts across cases, including strategy considerations, supplementation, and meet and confer correspondence.
  • Experienced in various aspects of commercial litigation, including document review, multiple mediations, and independently managing trial prep and trial for a smaller case.
  • Researched, interpreted, and analyzed California state and municipal law pertaining to land use to ensure that company practices were in line with applicable laws.
  • Drafted memoranda interpreting the latest developments in case law applying the California Environmental Quality Act.
  • Assisted in preparing Environmental Impact Reports and appendices thereto for submittal to jurisdictions, including the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, and the City of Pasadena.
  • Represented clients in hearings before city planning commissions to orally advocate for proposed projects.
Outside the Office

Outside the office, Sean is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, surfing, rock climbing, scuba diving, and backpacking. He also has a passion for cooking, reading, and traveling and recently returned from a trip to Japan.
