Roger defends clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
Roger’s interest in law began during his time as an accounting researcher, when he became fascinated by the role of laws in shaping market behaviors. He loved the idea of a legal career that would allow him to tackle high-stakes challenges using his research, writing, and communication skills.
During law school, Roger had several formative experiences. In the Appellate Clinic, he drafted motions and briefs on behalf of indigent clients, gaining hands-on experience in litigation. As Chief Diversity Editor and Symposium Editor of the Washington University Law Review, he organized the 2024 annual symposium, further honing his organizational and collaborative skills. He excelled in litigation-focused courses, such as Conflict of Laws and Federal Courts, which solidified his interest in the practice area.
Roger’s accounting background provides a strong understanding of business operations and needs, which he uses to tailor legal strategies effectively. His experience as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell included working on litigation and transactional matters, such as estate litigation, healthcare litigation, antitrust litigation, and corporate transactions. He also assisted in pro bono refugee asylum applications and worked in-house at a client site.
