Nicole is a senior paralegal who concentrates her work in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights and intellectual property litigation.

Nicole assists attorneys and clients on U.S. and international patent and trademark applications and U.S. copyright registrations. She has experience with patent and trademark infringement litigation cases that were tried in federal courts, and she assists in the preparation of a variety of licenses, assignments, contracts and agreements.

Nicole’s representative work experience includes:

  • Performs preliminary trademark and patent searches.
  • Prepares and files patent and trademark applications and related documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and foreign trademark offices, including international PCT applications.
  • Prepares and files all documents required for U.S. prosecution of pending patent applications and issued patent matters, including assignments, declarations, responses to office actions, extensions of time, issue fees, maintenance fees and other documents.
  • Prepares and files all documents required for U.S. and state prosecution of pending trademark applications and post-registration trademark matters, including assignments, responses to office actions, extensions of time, renewal applications, statements of use, declarations of use and other documents.
  • Manages dockets of U.S. and foreign patent and trademark correspondence, office actions and related matters.
  • Prepares and files documents with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board with respect to opposition and cancellation proceedings.
  • Assists in all facets of foreign patent and issued foreign patent processes.
  • Assists in all facets of foreign registration and post-registration trademark processes.
  • Researches potential patent, trademark and copyright infringers/infringements to assist in litigation evaluations.
  • Corresponds with clients on proper use and maintenance of patents, trademarks and copyrights.
  • Maintains individual client patent, trademark and copyright portfolios.
  • Prepares and files copyright applications and related documents with the U.S. Copyright Office.
  • Corresponds with clients and foreign associates regarding actions required to obtain and maintain patent and trademark rights.
  • Assists with the preparation of assignments, contracts and licenses.
  • Prepares and files necessary pleadings throughout the litigation proceeding, including notices, motions, stipulations and affidavits.
