Mark helps clients tackle high-stakes issues in Texas. He helps clients develop public policy in the Texas Legislature, at state agencies and local governments.

His work includes issues surrounding healthcare, taxation and appropriations, business regulation, environmental matters, entertainment and other topics.

Dynamic and non-partisan, Mark’s efforts at state agencies focus on rulemaking, policy development, licensing and enforcement actions. Mark often focuses on complex issues related to consumer financial products such as extended warranties and auto financing. 

As a principal with Husch Blackwell Strategies, Mark seeks to create opportunities, change processes and through legislation, produce a more favorable business climate in Texas. Clients benefit from his personal experience as a former legislative director for a member of the Texas House of Representatives, where he managed numerous bills as they moved through the Texas Legislature.
