After a high school job in a small law office, Lexie knew she wanted to pursue a legal career. The law offered a challenging environment where she could continuously learn and help clients achieve their goals.
During law school, Lexie participated in UMKC’s Entrepreneurial Legal Services Clinic, working with small business owners. She enjoyed helping clients navigate complex legal issues and drafting essential documents for small businesses. This experience honed her skills in both spotting and addressing various business challenges.
Lexie has a keen interest in the complexities of banking and finance. She enjoys navigating the evolving economic landscape and working on transactions that drive businesses forward. Her summer associate role at Husch Blackwell allowed her to dive deep into due diligence projects in banking, finance, and corporate mergers and acquisitions, further developing her knowledge in these areas.
Lexie’s internships at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri and U.S. Bankruptcy Court also provided valuable insights into client advocacy and the importance of continuous learning. These experiences have shaped her approach to legal practice and reinforced her commitment to providing thoughtful and detail-oriented service.
