Jackie is a senior paralegal who concentrates her work in the areas of trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
Jackie assists attorneys and clients with the prosecution of U.S. and international trademark and patent applications, as well as U.S. copyright registrations.
Her representative work experience includes:
- Performs preliminary trademark searches.
- Conducts legal research on trademark and patent matters.
- Coordinates and reviews investigations.
- Prepares and files all documents required for U.S. prosecution of pending trademark applications and post-registration trademark matters, including assignments, responses to office actions, extensions of time, renewal applications, statements of use and declarations of use.
- Prepares and files documents with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board with respect to opposition and cancellation proceedings.
- Assists in all facets of foreign registration and post-registration trademark processes.
- Researches potential trademark and copyright infringers/infringements to assist in litigation evaluations.
- Corresponds with clients on proper use and maintenance of trademarks and copyrights.
- Corresponds with clients and foreign associates on actions required to obtain and maintain trademark and patent rights.
- Conducts patent assignee, inventor and title searches using U.S. and foreign databases.
- Prepares and files patent prosecution documents with the U.S. Patent Office using EFSWeb.
- Prepares and files all documents required for U.S. prosecution of pending patent applications and post-issuance patent matters, including assignments, responses to office actions, Information Disclosure Statements and other documents.
- Prepares and files Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) complaints with the Forum.
- Maintains individual client trademark and patent portfolios.
- Prepares and files copyright applications and related documents with the U.S. Copyright Office.
