Overview

Eric focuses on commercial litigation, helping clients navigate complex disputes and protect business interests.

A legal career appealed to Eric because it matched his strengths in structured thinking and persuasive writing: law offered a direct way to use these skills to address real-world problems and make a difference for clients. He was quickly drawn to commercial litigation for its mix of analysis, creativity, and tangible impact on businesses. The field requires breaking down complicated disputes, identifying what matters most, and building clear, persuasive arguments. Eric appreciates how these cases influence business outcomes and stakeholder relationships.

As a law student, Eric gained valuable experience through mock trial, where he especially enjoyed finding creative ways to present a case. Participation in the Missouri Law Review further developed his writing and research skills, with a focus on communicating complex issues clearly and persuasively.

Eric’s experience as an intern for an insurance company provided a strong foundation for litigation work. Reviewing bond issuances, credit agreements, and distressed debt developed his ability to parse dense contractual language, spot inconsistencies, and understand the financial stakes behind legal conflicts. He also learned to present technical details clearly.

As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Eric worked on a range of matters, from research and drafting for litigation to due diligence for corporate transactions. Exposure to different legal challenges and a collaborative team environment reinforced a commitment to thorough preparation and practical solutions.

Clients value Eric’s focus, clear communication, and commitment to understanding their goals. Known for being diligent, responsive, and transparent, Eric works to earn confidence by delivering sound judgment and keeping business needs at the forefront.
