Clients facing litigation rely on Emily’s eye for detail and her ability to navigate the intricate discovery process of complex commercial litigation.
Emily works with clients across a broad spectrum of industries, representing them in matters as diverse as product liability, insurance coverage and disputes, breach of contract, and Section 1983 litigation. She particularly enjoys challenging cases that require creativity, patience, and intricate strategies—the more complicated a problem, the more excited Emily is to help find a resolution. Early in her legal career, Emily discovered a passion for discovery work and joined Husch Blackwell’s eDiscovery Solutions team. She knows cases are often won or lost in the discovery phase, and she knows how important well-managed discovery is to clients, both to help build their cases and to protect their information. Emily has taken a central role in eDiscovery work for major cases requiring extensive discovery, strategically steering the firm’s technological processes.
Known for her empathy and listening skills, Emily previously served as a social work case manager, guiding a caseload of more than a dozen families in identifying and connecting with needed resources and implementing medical treatment plans. Her prior career taught her how to listen and how to meet clients where they are: Emily knows how deeply stressful litigation is, and she is eager for clients to feel fully supported. She prioritizes keeping clients informed and ensuring that litigation strategies fit with their own goals and business needs.
