Chelsey describes herself as “systems-driven”: she has a passion for business systems, and she studies systems to identify inefficiencies and develop improvements. This makes her an excellent fit for corporate formation, corporate maintenance and various transactional work.
As a member of Husch Blackwell’s Corporate team, Chelsey advises clients on entity formation, dissolution and general maintenance. These clients include limited liability companies, series limited liability companies, corporations and nonprofit corporations. She also assists with various employment agreements and counsels entities on business succession planning. Chelsey also has experience with trade name and trademark protections, as well as other intellectual property matters.
While Chelsey works with a wide variety of firm clients, she has a special interest in startups and other small and emerging companies. She is excited to help clients establish a business plan and to support them from the beginning as they identify their initial business needs and develop business goals.
Chelsey is known for her ability to personalize advice for individual clients. She has a gift not only for explaining legal matters to non-attorneys, but for determining which explanations and details will be most helpful to each particular client. Chelsey aims to always provide customized service.
