Catie supports energy sector clients with real estate matters, including transactional work tied to project financing and development.

Catie was drawn to the renewable energy sector due to the field’s creativity and its constant evolution, and she believed her problem-solving mindset and eagerness to adapt made her well-suited to a legal career centered on it. Catie is motivated by a passion for sustainable solutions and the opportunity to have a direct, beneficial impact on communities.

Before law school, Catie earned an environmental management degree and spent a summer drafting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, work that introduced her to the regulatory frameworks now central to her practice. During law school, she served as a Case Note and Comment Editor on the University of Colorado Law Review. She also spent a summer working for a utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems project developer, where she gained valuable experience with project financing and real estate matters. Renewable energy's steady growth and its role in meeting future energy needs kept pulling her toward the practice area.

As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Catie researched regulatory questions tied to utility-scale and community solar development and assisted on project financings to build her understanding of how renewable energy deals come together.

Known for being thorough and a creative problem-solver, Catie is focused on producing careful, well-researched work. Clients can expect someone who digs into the regulatory and business details behind a deal and looks for practical ways to keep projects moving forward.
