Catherine represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
Catherine was drawn to commercial litigation for the opportunity to work on diverse legal issues and apply research, writing, and advocacy skills to real-world situations. She values the variety that the practice area offers and enjoys learning about new areas of law through each case.
During law school, Catherine competed in the National Moot Court Competition and worked as a research assistant, focusing on international law treaty translation. She took part in the Mediation Clinic, helping parties resolve disputes outside of court, and served as senior comment editor for the law review, guiding new members through the writing process. Catherine also completed an internship at the IRS and worked in-house at a Fortune 500 company, gaining experience with government and corporate legal work and giving her firsthand experience with the daily world of in-house attorneys.
As a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Catherine worked on a wide range of projects, from real estate negotiations to drafting mediation statements and researching property tax issues. This experience confirmed her interest in litigation and gave her practical skills in client communication and legal analysis.
