Avery's practice revolves around intellectual property law.
He works with clients all the way from transactions to litigation, providing insight on intellectual property issues at every stage of a client's legal needs. Specifically, Avery helps clients with licensing agreements, intellectual property transactions and sales, and software purchase or development agreements. Avery has worked with foreign and domestic clients to make sure their business needs are met through a legal framework that meets their specific situations while they navigate the marketplace. ​
Avery also works on litigation matters in the federal district court, and in the International Trade Commission. During his time with the firm, Avery litigated trademark, trade secret and patent cases in the district court and went to trial as the lead associate in a Section 337 violation investigation before the Chief Administrative Law Judge in the International Trade Commission. Avery's education in neurobiology, along with his patent work on chemical and mechanical engineering inventions, make him a well rounded professional who brings his educational knowledge to serve a wide variety of clients' unique legal needs.
