Overview

Andrew is an intellectual property (IP) attorney who is technologically resourceful and has extensive courtroom experience.

With a mechanical engineering background, Andrew focuses his practice on patent and trademark matters. He represents technology companies in patent infringement disputes and works comfortably across a wide range of technologies—from manufacturing and aircraft to electronics and semiconductors. He also represents well-known brands in trademark cases.

Before joining Husch Blackwell in 2025, Andrew spent several years at an IP firm, concentrating on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation matters. He appeared before federal judges weekly, and regularly secured injunctive relief for his clients. This experience gave him a strong foundation in IP law and confidence in the courtroom.

Andrew’s interest in IP began as an undergraduate when he interned in mechanical engineering and product development roles at both a startup tech company and a Fortune 500 firm. Those experiences gave him insight into the needs of clients of all sizes and sophistication levels. After earning his mechanical engineering degree, he became a patent research analyst at a leading IP services company, examining Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications as a USPTO subcontractor and preparing patentability searches and opinions across an array of technologies. The experience deepened his interest in patents, revealed his strength in writing, and ultimately led him to law school. While in law school, he focused on patent infringement cases during a judicial externship at the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. As a member of the Patent Bar, Andrew has also handled patent prosecution matters throughout his career.

When approaching a matter, Andrew works closely with clients, thoroughly reviews the issues, and develops creative, practical solutions. Known for his resourcefulness and attention to detail, he offers options others might overlook. Clients value his work ethic, trust his judgment, and rely on him to deliver results.
