Overview

Alyssa is a mergers and acquisitions-focused attorney who loves client growth.

While she works with a variety of clients, Alyssa has a special concentration on the cannabis industry. She cut her teeth on cannabis work when the industry was very small. When Alyssa first began to assist growers and providers, Colorado was just beginning to navigate the regulation of cannabis. It was an experience she describes as being thrown into cases with no roadmap and no precedents—and she thrived on the challenge. Alyssa especially enjoyed the opportunity to work with the field’s early pioneers, helping to advocate for clients who took some of the biggest risks.

Now, the cannabis industry is big business, and Alyssa frequently handles mergers and acquisitions for companies in and out of the industry. She’s passionate about growing companies and building new ones through this process, and she enjoys working in a practice area that draws on all aspects of business law. It’s also a practice area she knows from the inside: Alyssa previously worked in-house for a finance company whose growth strategy was heavily focused on acquisitions in the cannabis space. The experience gave her an in-depth understanding of client business concerns and an awareness of the business world that clients inhabit.

What Alyssa loves most about her job is seeing and facilitating client growth. She’s proud to have worked with early clients who opened their business with nothing more than a dream and a vision, and who are now ready for high level mergers and acquisitions.
