Ann represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters.
Ann chose to pursue a career in law after witnessing a sentencing hearing she observed in high school that balanced justice with compassion. Inspired by the ability of law to address individual circumstances and help people, she decided to become an attorney.
Drawn to commercial litigation, Ann values the variety and challenge it offers. Each case presents unique issues and often draws on different areas of law, which aligns with her broad interests and experience in fields like labor and employment, trusts and estates, and health law.
In law school, Ann excelled in legal research and writing, earning recognition in brief and oral argument competitions. She participated in the criminal appeals clinic and served as a senior articles editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal, where she enjoyed helping authors communicate more clearly and concisely.
Ann worked as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, dividing her time between the commercial litigation and labor and employment teams. She drafted complaints, motions, and discovery documents; researched a variety of legal issues; and revised employment handbooks. In addition, Ann also spent a summer working in-house, and prior to law school, she served as a legal assistant. These opportunities gave her experience working with a variety of clients and partnering with practice groups that often overlap with commercial litigation. She also built strong research, drafting, and client communication skills.
Ann is known as a good listener who delivers timely results and communicates with clarity. She approaches each matter with care and a focus on practical solutions.
